"Was uploaded with the intent to be used solely for purposes of vandalism, personal attacks, and/or spamming." Also, license should be re-checked, as image no longer freely accessible on Flickr. --WayneRay (talk) 03:16, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
Keep the original image and the matching uploaders information are on Flickr I checked the other political cartoons and they are by the artist who uploaded this image. I change speedy to plain delete to have a discussion, I am sorry I forgot who put the original speedy delete on it. I disagree, this is not vandalism it is a political cartoon. It is not a personal attack it is a spoof, a play on the Emporers New Clothes, I vote Keep. WayneRay (talk) 03:25, 14 July 2008 (UTC)WayneRay
Keep It isn't really an "attack" image in the fact that it doesn't attack anyone personally (except of course the President, but until he is using Commons/WP - that isn't a problem). It is an over the top political cartoon, thats all. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 03:55, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- Delete, used to vandalize the en.wikipedia article on W.. What else could it be used for? Account needed to verify license, is it as stated here on commons? -- Jeandré, 2008-07-14t09:35z
Keep I uploaded it and can state as a fact that it was not uploaded for the purpose of vandalism. If you doubt this, kindly check my other 5000 odd constructive edits to the Commons. Like any picture it can used in an inappropriate way. This is one of many useful political caricatures, from different countries and historical periods, hosted by the Commons. As for the license, it was correct and checked at the time of upload and is not revocable once granted. --Simonxag (talk) 09:58, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
Comment I have just rechecked the license on Flickr. It is still cc-by. I think questions of good faith need to be raised. --Simonxag (talk) 10:03, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- Delete. Does not appear to be within project scope, as it is unlikely to be useful for any Wikimedia project. Superm401 - Talk 10:46, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
CommentIt's a cartoon, It's art, when someone finds it I am sure it will be used in an appropriate Wikimedia Project, go cleanup the penis pictures, like we really need 50 of them in a useful project (just an aside) I am an American living in Canada maybe I will find an appropriate project for it, I already have it in line for a postcard. Comment There is a long history of irreverant cartoons of prominent figures and this is a fairly mild example. Note also the allusion to Michelangelo's David. Tyrenius (talk) 01:47, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Keep No valid reason to delete. Uploaded in good faith by a senior user, licensing checks out, flickr original is fine for us, and it's apparently political imagery and speech. Theres no reason to get rid of it. rootology (T) 05:29, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
Kept as per Rootology, Xag, WayneRay, etc. It could and has been used for vandalism, but so could a whole host of other other things. If it gets out of hand Wikipedia (and, I presume, other wikis) has an image blacklist for this reason, so there's no issues there. Lewis Collard! (lol, internet) 08:28, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
