New user Posts: 14 Location: Lincolnshire | did you pick the v6 box deliberately? if you find an off the shelf bell housing remember the v6 input shaft is longer so needs a longer bell housing.

New user Posts: 14 Location: Lincolnshire | You've probably already get something in mind but thinking further about the difference in length of the v6 and I4 bell houseings you could use the standard i4 bellhousing which is about an inch shorter and make up a 1 inch adapter to bolt in between.

![]() Extreme Veteran Posts: 592 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: kent | Yup, but they use the 1.4 flywheels with 1.4 clutch...besides those bell housings, starter motor and clutch cost close too a grand new, I want to use my pg1 lightened flywheel and use a Sierra cosworth clutch or similar too cope with the power

![]() Expert Posts: 2812 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Bournemouth | Dazz the clutch kept going on the metro, not due to the power, but due to misalignment of the cam cover engine mount (being made by eye) The std 220 turbo clutch will be all you need 250lbft torque is not a lot, nor is the 7500rpm limit The clutch i bought you, was also fitted to a 1.8 turbo k with 300lbft torque in an elise and has no problems. So dont worry too much about a sierra clutch, as they are no better than the 220 turbos ![]() And can i beat Sean first before you get this on the road and destroy the elise......please Also as said on Facebook the original bonnet would be better for a turbo, you want to get air out of the engine bay not it ![]() Edited by djwilma 2/4/2014 11:08 AM
