![]() Events Organiser MP Admin Posts: 1923 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Somerset | LOOOOONNNNNNGGG TIME nothing has happened! but i did fit my new wings from pietaster, they were in much better condition that mine, but need a touch up here and there. anyway, old ones: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() NEW ONES: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As you can see the old wing has done some damage to the a pilla because it was positioned incorrectly but now the shut lines are as perfect as i could get them! fitted a new exhaust FINALLY because it was the only thing letting the car down... but here it is, a cherrybomb from minimadcraig. ![]() ![]() | ||

How would i do that? which thread, the stud, bolt or the one in the head? if its either of the first two get a new one, or if it the one in the head youll need to helicoil it. | ||

![]() Elite Veteran Posts: 848 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Blackburn | Morey - 22/6/2012 12:01 PM i stripped the head thread. guess its pretty easy cause its steel against aluminium. where would i find what your recommending fellas? like do i need a full kit and what size etc etc? you will need a M10(think this is the right size will check when i get home) helicoil set, in the set you'll get a drill bit, tap, the helicoils and insert tool and punch. if the head is still on the car youll need to take the front bumper and rad off the car. Then using the supplied drill bit, you drill the hole with the buggered thread oversize, then use the supplied tap to cut a new thread. then using the insrt tool insert the helicoil into the newly cut thread, then punch the little tab off the back of the helicoil and there you have a new thread. the only hard bit is making sure you drill he hole square and dont drill too far into the head the kit will probably come with insructions, ill try and find a link to a good quality set when i get home. | ||
