I've heard about running diesel oil for a few thousand to clean everything but I am unsure... Ideas? As my vvc sounds like a tractor but still goes well

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | When I first had my old engine which I sold to addz, the mechs did my nut in. Give it a good flush then went to get some fresh 10/40 semi but missed the shop by a few minutes. Her oldman only had 10/40 mineral oil in the garage so I banged that in, and to my surprise the mechs did sound quite abit quieter. Had a google and a few have said the same.

A cycle of derv oil in a petrol car can do it the world of good, but maybe only run for a half interval of 5-6k miles.

If you out thick oil in to shut them up you wont fill your tappeta and loose power and your engine wont be protected aswell when cold and will wear faster. Get more mechs or go solid cam, or man-up and get a louder exhaust so you cant hear them ![]()

HIGHLY RECOMMEND rubbing down lacquer after with wet n dry! it gives it a proffesional paintjob shine! Can you believe this finnish?! Sprayed it all with aerosol! ![]() SAM_0860 by MetroMorey, on Flickr ![]() SAM_0861 by MetroMorey, on Flickr ![]() SAM_0862 by MetroMorey, on Flickr ![]() SAM_0863 by MetroMorey, on Flickr ![]() SAM_0864 by MetroMorey, on Flickr
