Location: kent | well decided to give up on my old kit car build and buy a new mk indy rr chassis
great work by mk on building it, looks great =)
so the specs is,
- 25mm tubular mk indy rr chassis
- full mk indy roll cage with side impact bars
- no engine mounts welded on so far as I will need to offer the engine and gearbox up to the chassis first to get them in the right place
- top mount pedal box mounts for a wilwood top-mount box
- inboard front push rod suspension
plans haven't changed, I'll be using the 1.4 k series turbo with the bell housing I made and the type 9 gearbox I have already
I've ordered a vibra technic gearbox mount and some 3mm plate for mounting the engine and should be down to the powder coaters next week sometime
more updates to follow Longley

Location: kent | I love the feeling when your uncontrollably trying to fight the car to get the power down should only be 500-550bhp/tonne though so shouldn't be too bad hehe
I love it too petrol-head, really happy with the chassis so far and glad I went with this chassis over the old chassis
bottom engine mounts made and fitted using escort cosworth vibra technic engine mounts
probably another month or so before i can upload some more pictures (contracts up for renewal at work so have to be sensible for a while :bowling |
