Sadly my car seems to run quite badly without it's cam cover so I will just have to pass I think. Does the same place do powercoating as well or just chrome?

Thing is, youve all got to realise how much you DONT want one of these.

As soon as you fit this, the rest of your engine bay will look like a load of crap, next you'll be buying an electroplating everything in site, making up aluminium headertanks, water bottles, etc etc, and then you'll have spent a spunkload on aestetics for the engine bay :|

dont get me wrong, they look awesome!

I think chroming as well would give it the ultimate mirror finish.

Are cambelt covers metal.

no, theyre not, theyre plastic, therefore you brass dip them so you can electroplate them.

this is what i wanted chroming with a k series cam cover for comparison, not sure i fancy chrome flaking off and getting into the oil though?

Surely you don't chrome the side thats exposed to the oil?

How much does chroming cost?

looks real smart, nice to see something being done professionally, was almost tempted by freddies V8 one, but then i thought it aint gonna make it go faster lol.

can you get little bits an bobs coated in that goldy finish which hubs/hydragas units are as standard? guessing thats cheaper than chrome?

do you do anything which is good against weather? the things im thinking of its pointless chroming them. stuff like my engine to box adaptor plate, where i didnt want to make it from stainless.
