New user Posts: 2 | I have a MK1 MG Metro nearing completion for returning to the road after 14 years standing. Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to find a good second-hand or new radiator for it. The only offer I have had is to build a new one for £250, which seems a lot. ![]() | ||

![]() Expert Posts: 4458 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Jelling, Denmark | yes the radiator you have there is unfortunate as it cannot be recorred or anything. you can do two things. either fit a mk2 radiator with the minor modifications that brings such as other mounting holes and an other top hose (this can be found new on ebay from time to time) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUSTIN-MG-METRO-1984-1990-RADIATOR-/112256215179?hash=item1a22fde88b:g:YcEAAOSwcUBYVqlo or find a second hand working or non working early austin mk1 radiator as this has brass ends and a metal core and can be recorred at a radiator place (this is what I have done). plus it also has a larger cooling capacity than the one in your photo. here is mine: ![]() | ||
