Member Posts: 67 ![]() ![]() | In the interim I'd wire brush the old unit and coat it with a couple of layers of fibreglass matting and resin - well worked in. It would be leakproof, sturdy and resist further external corrosion. Given where it is situated, it would not spoil the look of the car. Not as good as a new unit but better than the smell / leaks / safety problems of a perforated filler neck. Best done when it's off the car. Good luck. | ||
